Biologist Dr. Schaal is the Mary-Dell Clinton Distinguished Professor in Arts and Sciences. President Barack Obama has appointed Barbara Schaal, Ph.D., the Mary-Dell Chilton Distinguished Professor of biology in Arts and Sciences and vice president of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS), to the President’s Council of Advisor on Science and Technology (PCAST).
