Deanna Barch named Associate Dean of Academic Affairs

Deanna Barch, the Gregory B. Crouch Professor of Psychiatry and chair of the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences will oversee academic policies and procedures that advance and support faculty development starting July 1, 2018.

Parental Leave Policy updated

The Parental Leave Policy for full-time faculty was updated in March 2018. The policy now grants elgibility to both parents for full parental leave and grants a full semester of leave to all full-time non-tenure track faculty, among other changes. AWF advocated for the updated policy.

Diversity commission report released

The Steering Committee for Diversity and Inclusion released a report to create a university wide plan for diversity.

Setton Named Chair of Biomedical Engineering

Lori Setton was named chair of Biomedical Engineering effective August 1, 2017. She is the first female department chair for the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
