The Association for Women Faculty (AWF) of the Danforth Campus was established in 1995 to promote advocacy and community relating to women faculty at Washington University in St. Louis.

AWF seeks to fulfill these goals by sponsoring events relevant to women faculty issues. The executive board of AWF maintains regular contact with the university administration and strives to partner with senior leadership on initiatives to improve the climate and the opportunities for women faculty and to advance intersectional gender equity. We work closely with the Academic Women’s Network (AWN) of the Medical School on behalf of all women faculty at Washington University.

There is no membership necessary, and all full-time tenure-track and non-tenure-track faculty on the Danforth campus who wish to discuss women faculty issues can attend events, join meetings, and serve on the board. Participation is open regardless of gender identity and we welcome allies to take part in programming.

We are currently working on an email distribution list setup–stay tuned for how to subscribe to our email list! We will have this figured out early in the Fall 2022 semester!
